Position: Lead Teacher for our 2-3 year old class, part-time (mornings)

Location: Hinsdale, IL

Start Date: August 15 for the 2023-2024 school year and possibly 8 weeks of summer camp

Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Infant/Toddler Montessori certification (AMS or AMI) required

• Spanish speaking preferred, but not required

Description of Position: 

The Lead Teacher is responsible for preparing the classroom environment with clean, beautiful, inspiring, and developmentally rich Montessori materials. And is also responsible for cleaning the materials and environment each day.

The Lead Teacher possesses working knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and understands they are the first environment needing preparation each day.

The Lead Teacher takes copious notes on each student daily and provides each child the support and care they require each day, in a loving and patient manner.

The Lead Teacher communicates clearly and kindly with parents and is responsible for answering parent emails each day.

Qualities of the Ideal Applicant:

• Communicates kindly and respectfully with co-workers and staff, students, and families.

• Is a team player and supportive of co-workers and staff.

• Is a child advocate and dedicated educator.

• Is in good physical health and able to bend-over, lift 25 lbs, run/walk, and clean environment.

About Children’s Montessori Language Academy:

Established in 2000, Children’s Montessori Language Academy has provided an enriching, loving, and supportive academic experience for our staff, students, and their families for the last 23 years!

We are a small school, with a staff of ten Montessorians and child advocates. We are a fully equipped, traditional Montessori school, providing classes for children ages 2 to 6 years old. We also teach Spanish through music and movement in all of our programs.

We are located within a beautiful wooded park of 52 acres, located in the beautiful western suburb of Chicago. This AMS Accredited School offers half-day programs for 2 to 6 year olds, as well as summer camp. We do have a few students ages 4 and older attending full day.
