Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and Montessori-trained (or aspiring) Arabic-speaking Early Childhood Teacher to join our dynamic team at Intercultural. This role involves working with children ages 3–6 in our Arabic-language immersion classroom, fostering both language acquisition and Montessori-based development in a nurturing, engaging environment.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree (required)

·       Montessori Early Childhood Certification or currently enrolled in a program (preferred)

·       Fluency in Arabic, with the ability to teach and communicate in the Levantine dialect effectively (required)

·       Previous experience in Early Childhood Education (required)

·       Experience in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans (preferred)

·       Patient, flexible, and positive when working with young children of varying developmental needs

·       Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting

·       Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

 

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Lesson Planning

·       Design and implement Montessori-aligned, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that integrate Arabic language immersion

·       Adapt curriculum to meet the individual needs, interests, and developmental levels of students

·       Align classroom activities with Montessori philosophy and best practices in early childhood education

·       Continuously reflect on and refine lesson plans to improve student engagement and learning outcomes

 

Child Development & Classroom Leadership

·       Guide and observe each child’s individual development to support their unique learning path

·       Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe, respectful, and joyful environment

·       Support and encourage independence, curiosity, and a love for learning through hands-on Montessori activities

 

Classroom Operations

·       Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom, including sanitation related to student needs

·       Supervise children during classroom time, lunch, recess, and field trips

·       Assist with personal hygiene routines such as handwashing and bathroom use

·       Uphold classroom standards and ensure materials are cared for and developmentally appropriate

 

Collaboration & Communication

·       Work closely with assistant teachers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support

·       Communicate consistently and professionally with families about curriculum, classroom activities, and student progress

·       Participate in regular staff meetings, self-assessments, and ongoing training opportunities

 

Administrative & Safety Duties

·       Keep accurate student observation records, progress reports, and an inventory of classroom materials

·       Ensure compliance with school safety procedures, including participation in fire and tornado drills

·       Follow all school policies, confidentiality expectations, and security protocols
