    Montessori Trained Upper Elementary Teacher

    Montessori School of Lake Forest is an authentic Montessori school seeking a Montessori trained Upper Elementary Teacher to co-lead a classroom of children ages 9-12 years starting in August 2025. The ideal candidate is AMI or AMS certified and will lead an Upper Elementary classroom, partnering with an experienced co-teacher, and using the Montessori Method, will work with each child to meet their developmental needs. The ideal candidate will also be reliable, and possess a patient, positive, and respectful manner toward children in their care.

    Qualifications include:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • AMS or AMI certified at the Elementary level (6-12) or currently in a training program
    • Experience working in a Montessori classroom
    • Meet the DCFS or ISBE requirements for a teacher
    • Good communication skills and strong work ethic
    • Investment in continuous learning and development
    • Ability to collaborate, multi-task, and learn through observation and modeling

    Gan Montessori is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated Long Term Substitue Montessori Teacher. We are located in Wilmette, Illinois. We have a temporary full-time position available for our 3-6 classroom with the potential to grow into other positions. The days/hours of this position is Monday – Friday from 8:00 am –4:00 pm.

    Your Role:

    As the Lead Teacher, you will lead a model early childhood Montessori classroom to meet each child's individual needs and foster a deep sense of community within your classroom and our school. You will be provided with a fully equipped early childhood classroom with high-quality Montessori materials and furniture. The Lead Teacher does not need to be Jewish.

    Suder is located at 2022 W. Washington Blvd in Chicago. We follow a 9-4 schedule, have a supportive admin and involved families.

    Requirements: Illinois Professional Educator's License granted by the Illinois State Board of Education AND Montessori Training, or a willingness to complete Montessori Training. Suder Montessori will fund training for the right candidate.

    This position can be teaching only, or if DCFS Director Qualified, a little light administrative responsibilities can be included for additional pay at this lovely, little two classroom Early Childhood Schoolhouse.

    Established in 1966, the North Shore Montessori Schools have been pioneers in the Montessori movement in the Chicago area as well as in Uganda, Africa through their outreach program.
