    Position Description:

    All Day Montessori, located in the lovely Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, IL, is looking for a talented, passionate, and energetic Head of School. The next HOS will be leading a school that is deeply rooted in all-day Montessori and early learning education, and firmly grounded by its long history, success, well-established culture, and dedicated staff and board. This is an amazing opportunity for a compassionate, energetic school leader who can honor the school’s legacy, serve as a collaborative role model and guide this school into the future. ADM’s reputation in the community and strong enrollment offers the prospect of exciting possibilities for a new HOS. 


    The extremely dedicated administration and faculty are looking for a leader to join them, meet them where they are, support them, and inspire them. Parents have a desire to be kept informed of issues and activities affecting their children and the school. 


    The HOS is responsible for the execution of the mission and vision to produce the highest level of education consistent with the educational standards set forth by the AMS. The new HOS must possess both Montessori and early learning expertise, as well as the business acumen to understand, lead, and execute all aspects of the school operation and management. 


    The HOS is under the direct supervision of the ADM Board, which is responsible for the HOS’s hiring and annual evaluation. The HOS works closely with the Board, which has governance responsibility for the school. 


    ADM is looking for an excellent new leader to be in place for the start of the 2022-2023 school year.


    Education Requirements:

    • Montessori credential from a MACTE accredited teacher education program

    • A Bachelor’s degree; advanced degrees in a related field; a secondary degree in social work, business administration or a related field is a plus

    Qualifications and Skills/Experience: 

    • Administrative experience in an educational setting; three years’ experience and administration in a Montessori school

    • Montessori teaching experience required; three-year minimum

    • Experience with regulatory, personnel, budget, and fiscal management

    • Experience working with families and leaders from diverse community area

    Qualifications

    Required:

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Support the Directress’ implementation of the Montessori method.

    Lead Teacher for our Youngest Montessorians!

    All Day Montessori, founded in 1996, is seeking a lead teacher to join our team who works with our youngest Montessorians: children ages 15 months through 3 years of age. ADM is a foundation of the Beverly community on the southside of Chicago. We are searching for a lead teacher who is dedicated to bringing Montessori education to our little ones. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education, a Montessori endorsement in Infant/Toddler education or the desire to achieve this endorsement, and an ability to collaborate with fellow staff and parents to provide an early childhood learning experience that is nurturing, educationally rich, and developmentally appropriate.

    Rogers Park Montessori School is seeking a dedicated Learning Specialist to provide academic support to students with learning differences in a Montessori environment. The candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to develop learning strategies tailored to each student’s individual needs to support their academic progress.

    The qualified candidate will have experience working with diverse learning populations, will possess strong written and oral communication skills, be able and willing to jump into a collaborative planning and teaching process, and be an active member of the life of the school.

    The position will require creativity and flexibility, and a strong background in working with students with diverse learning needs. Strong collaborative skills are essential for this position, including regular communication with teachers. This teacher should be prepared to differentiate learning for a wide range of children’s abilities and interests.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Participate actively in weekly team meetings with teachers, Learning Specialist Coordinator and Program Director
    • Take part in collaborative planning with teacher teams
      • Weekly 1:1 meeting with teachers reviewing students’ progress for the week-areas of concern/struggle, identifying help needed
      • Guiding teachers in implementing class accommodations, modifications, executive functioning supports, and observing student performance
      • Give specific feedback to support student growth.

      • Executive functioning skills to plan their work period
      • Academic areas including reading comprehension, math concepts and fact fluency, the writing process, and long term project planning and execution

      • Implement research-based interventions and monitor student progress.
      • Help students to develop effective learning strategies that promote academic improvement

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in education with special education/LBS1 certification or endorsement required; master's degree in education preferred.

    • Have an understanding of the different developmental stages of learning.
    • Have an understanding of formative and summative assessments as well as other authentic strategies.
